I made up some fruit tea at work , from a gorgeous ruby red tea called Summer Pudding, chilled it, added lemon & mint, but it needed a sugar hit. So this morning it dawned on me ('cos some things take a while...) D'Oh, simple syrup!!! And then I thought, Urgh watching the pot so I wouldn't burn it! No time!!! And then...D'Oh again..YOU HAVE A THERMOMIX YOU FOOL! So 8 minutes later, a huge jar of perfect simple syrup....and perfect iced tea!

EDIT: they didn't work, I thought it was a bit peculiar to use 1/2 cup of distilled water....of course it fizzed as I made it, going to try again, this time using jojoba oil as a few other recipes suggested.
